Hello, I'm Matt

My own journey has led me to identify that I am passionate about helping others improve their health, as well as to facilitate moving forward in their daily lives. I studied and worked in the field of health and wellbeing for twenty years, and worked as a coach before training to become a therapist. To me, becoming a therapist reflects my passion for the value of counselling and its potential to improve lives.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the largest and broadest association for members of the counselling professions in the UK. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I undertake regular one to one supervision.

I have a variety of training/qualifications in physical and mental health, and have studied various models of therapy. My primary aims in working with clients is to listen, and to provide a warm and non-judgmental relationship where clients can freely express and explore their thoughts and feelings.

I have worked therapeutically in both a local charity setting and in private practice with people from a wide variety of cultures, ages and backgrounds.
